Definition and Usage
The z-index property specifies the stack order of an element.
An element with greater stack order is always in front of an element with a lower stack order.
Note: z-index only works on positioned elements (position:absolute, position:relative, or position:fixed).

Browser Support
The z-index property is supported in all major browsers.
Note: No versions of Internet Explorer (including IE8) support the property value "inherit".

Sets the stack order equal to its parents. This is default |

Sets the stack order of the element. Negative numbers are
allowed |

Specifies that the z-index should be inherited
